The apartment we stayed in was an alley and a half from old town square which I thought was beautiful. We were there at least three times a day coming or going from somewhere. I didn't find Wenceslaus Square very inspiring either... dark gloomy building at the end of a seriously overcommercialized street. Apparently the National Royal Gallery is due to be overhauled though, so maybe that will have a positive affect on the surrounding area. I'm still trying to speak Norge so I didn't make much effort with ceski - maybe next time.
